2016–2017: Associate at Prospect Capital Management. Engaged in private credit investment, which is a field within alternative asset management.
2017–2019: Partner at ChainStreet Capital. This is a quantitative cryptocurrency hedge fund where he participated in algorithmic event-driven trading.
2019–2021: Goldman Sachs Global Markets Division, Digital Assets team. Focused on cryptocurrency market services, institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure, decentralized issuance and trading of traditional securities, and strategic investments. This was a key phase in his transition from traditional finance to crypto.
2021 to present: Founder and CEO of Ondo Finance. He co-founded the company in 2021 with Pinku Surana.
Focused on tokenizing traditional financial products such as U.S. Treasuries and corporate bonds.
Providing on-chain yield products for institutions and retail investors.
Has received support from top VCs like Founders Fund and Pantera Capital, with significant growth in tokenized assets under management.

Nate’s brilliance, humility, and drive shaped every part of what Ondo is today. His belief in the power of technology to create a more open, accessible financial system lives on in everything we build. The impact he had on this industry, and on all of us personally, cannot be overstated.
Nate also helped us build a durable organization with experienced leaders across all facets of the business. Ian De Bode, Ondo Finance’s longtime President, will serve as CEO. Ian has been leading our strategy, product, and day-to-day operations for over two years and has the full confidence of the leadership team.
We will continue building what Nate started. That is the most meaningful way we know to honor him.

A brief introduction about myself.
My name is Leslie, named after Leslie Cheung.
People mostly call me Shushu. Born in 2005, from Shantou.
After graduating from vocational school, I chose not to continue studying and worked as a barista for two years.
I left my most comfortable place and field to come to Beijing to pursue my dreams.
During middle school, I always had part-time jobs during winter and summer vacations because I knew that if I wanted something, I had to work hard for it myself.
I have worked as a waiter, bubble tea maker, street vendor, telemarketer, tutor, street volunteer, cashier, A-share product salesperson, restaurant manager...
The toughest time was earning 12 yuan per hour at Starbucks.
I am a product of a small county town, a reflection of the grassroots/ordinary people.
With zero foundation and no professional background, I passed the securities qualification exam in one month, but kept hitting walls due to my educational background.
Now I am working while improving my education, learning English, and studying web3 + AI.
I will never regret any choice I have made. I have indeed had many "benefactors" helping me improve my awareness along the way, and I am grateful to have come this far to see the "world."
Many people ask me: "Why is your range of experience so broad?"
I thought about it and answered: "Passion supports me to go far, to endure disappointment again and again, and to get up after every setback. My advantages are time, resilience, and just the right amount of abundant energy."

When we arrived, we found there were elephants, shooting, off-road vehicles, a high-altitude zipline, and Muay Thai performances. It was really rich in variety. The arrangements were perfect. Thanks 🙏 to Simo and Felix for organizing everything. The trip went very smoothly. The pizza for dinner was also unforgettable.
The amazing part later was that we and @stevenkaiweb3 ended up eating at the same restaurant. We had some drinks without prior arrangement. It seems the restaurant choice was also excellent, @Simo_CoinUp. World Tour is comfortable~

It was really delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine.
I truly have a Chinese stomach, I don't like eating other foods.
Everyone had great tolerance for alcohol while eating,
I got dizzy very quickly.
Later, I took my brother-in-law @xiejiayinBitget
to the event after party.
But the event was almost over by then.
After going back, we all drank together again.
I was probably the first one to lie down,
fell asleep on the sofa.
So weak, I wanted to tweet that day but was too dizzy,
posting a tweet a year late.
Thinking back now, I really miss those times,

Every time I look back at my past, I feel like crying. From a rural area in Sichuan to the international stage, from the unknown Xie Jiayin to becoming the head of Bitget Greater China, one of the world's top four exchanges. Along the way, I stumbled and endured hardships. More importantly, I saw that people from the grassroots can truly turn their lives around and bring honor to their families. Maybe you know many “Xie Jiayins” in the world, but I am the one beside you.
At 16, my father passed away; at 18, I went to Shanghai alone. Later, I went to Shenzhen and Beijing, and then left China for almost 4 years. I don’t like to play the victim, but it seems everyone knows about my “hardships” in the past; I don’t want to boast about how excellent or successful I am, but without Bitget, I really am nothing.
The year I joined Bitget, my grandmother passed away. She was 60 years older than me and raised me. For my career, I chose to stay in Singapore. People shouldn’t expect to have everything and get everything; we’re all adults, how can we take all the benefits ourselves? Maybe I’m overthinking it?
If time could turn back, I would still choose to become the head of Bitget Greater China. Leaving my hometown, my mother, and my grandmother.
