⭕️SpaceX IPO, the ideal is beautiful, but reality may be harsh
(Clickbait alert, let's talk about SpaceX going public)
(SpaceX plans to price on June 11 and list on Nasdaq on June 12 (ticker proposed as SPCX), targeting a valuation of about $1.75 trillion, aiming to raise about $75 billion, expected to debut as early as June 12)
All discussions are based on the assumption of a smooth listing and possible scenarios:
1⃣️ Becoming a money black hole, sucking all market possibilities
If SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic, three giants, go public in the same time window (current data shows combined fundraising approaching $200 billion)
☝🏻One question: Where does this money come from❓
👉🏻Historically, the most likely sources are popular tech stocks like Nvidia, TSMC, and Google
👉🏻Fund managers are not money printers; to "make room" for SpaceX, they have to sell existing holdings
💫The most intuitive feeling is: before the IPO even opens, the market might already tremble
2⃣️ Index funds forced to buy at high prices
Preface: Nasdaq has changed rules to attract SpaceX listing on its platform: it removed the 10% minimum float requirement for the Nasdaq 100 index and significantly shortened the window for including IPOs in the index; S&P is also considering similar changes, allowing mega-caps to be included in the index within 5 days after listing
🤔What does this mean❓
👉🏻Ordinary investors holding S&P/Nasdaq ETFs will be forced to buy regardless of whether SpaceX's valuation is in a bubble
💫The most direct feeling is: no choice, the system automatically "buys the IPO" for you
3⃣️ Worth mentioning: SpaceX's financial data
▪️Full year 2025: revenue $18.8 billion, net loss $4.9 billion
▪️Q1 2026: revenue $4.7 billion, net loss $4.28 billion
One quarter's loss nearly matches one quarter's revenue
▪️Starlink's average revenue per user (ARPU) dropped from $99 in 2023 to $81 in 2025, an 18% decline over two years
And the $1.75 trillion valuation corresponds to a price-to-sales ratio (P/S) exceeding 100 times
🌰For reference:
➭Palantir, known as "the most expensive": P/S 73x
➭S&P 500 overall average: P/S 3.1x
➭SpaceX's pricing is 32 times the S&P average
The feeling is: are we expecting a miracle? But it seems unlikely, this kind of uncertain fear.
The story of the stars and the sea, fully believe it👌🏻
But this price is really hard to praise😱

【💬The 30-year US Treasury yield* rose to 5.159% this week, hitting a nearly one-year high】
【💬The era of cheap global capital has officially ended】
👉🏻Last year, Moody's downgraded the US credit rating from AAA by one notch, marking a key point in confidence pressure
👉🏻Now that yields have broken 5% again, it reflects the market's ongoing vote on the US fiscal imbalance
【🟡Current Situation】
➠US federal debt spending has exceeded an annualized $1.23 trillion. With the high national debt scale and a long-term high interest rate environment, the current debt servicing cost has surpassed the defense budget, becoming the fastest-growing expenditure item in the US federal budget aside from social welfare.
➠Due to inflation and monetary policy impacts, US Treasuries have remained at a high level for a long time (e.g., the 10-year Treasury yield persistently hovering above 4%), causing the interest cost of newly issued debt to rise sharply.
⚠️This is a vicious cycle
🔵The intuitive feeling for ordinary people is: borrowing becomes more expensive, saving becomes more attractive
➠In daily life: mortgage payments increase, making home buying harder; corporate financing costs rise, leading to more cautious hiring.
➠However, money market funds and deposit rates have also increased, benefiting conservative investors.
【🟡Challenges】
➠Inflation is not under control, and rate cuts would add fuel to the fire;
➠Fiscal deficits are large, and bond issuance cannot be stopped.
High interest rates are likely to be the norm in the coming years.
【🟡Market】
➠Short term: liquidity tightens, risk assets come under pressure, funds flow into high-yield Treasuries
➠Long term: if US dollar credit continues to deteriorate, Bitcoin, as a decentralized store of value narrative, deserves reconsideration
🫧Bubbles propped up by cheap capital will gradually be squeezed out

*Yield = the government's borrowing cost
**The higher the number, the more investors worry about US fiscal health and demand higher returns to lend
『Samsung's 50,000-Person Strike Has the Tech World Holding Its Breath』
· Reading time: 3min
┄┅┄┅┄┅┄┅┄*
🟡 Q1: How did the strike come about?
🔵 A1: Samsung Electronics' union and management negotiated for months but talks broke down.
💡 The union's core demands are twofold:
▪️ Remove the cap that performance bonuses cannot exceed 50% of the annual salary;
▪️ Fix 15% of annual operating profit into the bonus pool, explicitly written into the labor contract.
Samsung management is willing to allocate 10% of operating profit but refuses to institutionalize it or make it contractually binding.
In contrast, competitor SK Hynix abolished the bonus cap last year and fixed 10% of annual operating profit to be distributed to employees.
💥 Naturally, Samsung workers are dissatisfied. On the night of May 12, negotiations collapsed, and over 43,000 workers (more than half of Samsung's semiconductor department employees) registered to participate in the strike, planning an 18-day work stoppage starting May 21.
💥 This is the largest strike in Samsung's history.
🟡 Q2: What is Samsung's scale in the chip industry?
🔵 A2:
▪️ Global DRAM memory chip market: Samsung holds about 40% share
▪️ Global NAND flash market: Samsung holds about 30% share
👉🏻 Nearly half of the world's memory modules and one-third of flash storage come from Samsung factories.
🟡 Q3: Market background
🔵 A3: In Q1 2026, global memory chip prices have already surged
▪️ Industry data shows DRAM contract prices rose about 90%+ quarter-over-quarter, NAND flash rose about 55%-60%
👉🏻 The market is already undersupplied. Samsung proactively began cutting production after negotiations broke down on May 14, and a formal strike would worsen the situation.
🟡 Q4: Which industries will the work stoppage affect?
🔵 A4: 👉🏻 Memory chips are the "staple food" of modern tech products, used in almost all tech hardware.
🔸 Smartphones:
➠ Flagship models from various brands rely heavily on Samsung memory and flash. Short-term supply disruptions will increase phone production costs and may affect new product launch schedules.
🔸 PCs and laptops:
➠ Memory and SSD prices are directly linked to memory chip supply. If Samsung's production cuts persist, retail prices for consumer memory modules and solid-state drives may rise further in the second half of the year.
🔸 AI servers and data centers:
➠ AI training and inference demand for HBM is exploding. Nvidia GPUs require large amounts of memory chips. Samsung is a key HBM supplier; production halts will directly slow AI infrastructure expansion.
🔸 Automotive industry:
➠ Automotive-grade chips also require memory units. Smart cockpits and autonomous driving systems in new energy vehicles heavily depend on chips. Supply chain fluctuations will impact vehicle production.
📅 Current event progress:
On May 18, the Suwon District Court in South Korea partially approved Samsung's injunction request, ordering the union not to interfere with production, damage equipment, or block factory entrances during the strike.
The union responded: We respect the court's ruling, but the strike will proceed as planned.
🟡 Q5: Is it possible to call off the strike before the 21st?
🔵 A5: Currently, the likelihood is very low. The fundamental disagreement between labor and management is not about negotiation tactics but about the principle of whether bonuses should be institutionalized. This kind of conflict is hard to resolve in just one or two rounds of talks.
With the AI industry booming and semiconductor profits soaring, frontline workers are more confident in demanding "profit sharing."
Samsung's union wants 15%, SK Hynix already offers 10%. This cross-company "bonus arms race" may be reshaping the entire Korean tech industry's compensation structure.
Will TSMC workers be next to make similar demands?

Elon Musk sues OpenAI, what is the lawsuit about❓
➭ In 2015, Musk and Altman co-founded OpenAI
| Defined as a non-profit, with the mission to develop safe AI for all humanity
| Musk donated approximately $44 million in total
➭ He left the board in 2018
➭ In 2019, OpenAI established a for-profit subsidiary and brought in Microsoft investment
➭ In 2024, Musk officially filed the lawsuit
| Claim: OpenAI violated its original non-profit commitment by completing commercialization without public disclosure
| Demands $130 billion in damages, and also calls for restoring the non-profit structure and removing Altman
💥 Highlights from the trial:
✦ Altman admitted "there have been moments in life when I did not tell the truth"
✦ Disclosed Altman's personal investments in Helion Energy and Cerebras, showing conflicts of interest with OpenAI
✦ Sutskever appeared in court, presenting a 52-page document recording Altman's dishonest behavior
✦ Microsoft CEO Nadella confirmed Microsoft has profited about $9.5 billion from OpenAI
✦ Musk was revealed to have requested merging OpenAI into Tesla
⭕️ Core controversy: Whether OpenAI's transition from non-profit to for-profit was legal, and whether donors' interests were harmed
The trial is ongoing, with a 9-person jury yet to reach a verdict

🌃 Tonight at 20:30, the US April CPI will be released
What is CPI, and why is everyone watching it tonight🤔❓
💬 CPI, Consumer Price Index.
💬 Simply put: a basket of everyday goods, comparing last month to this month, how much more expensive? Vegetable prices, oil prices, rent, airfares—all included.
➠ If prices rise, CPI is high
➠ If prices don’t rise, CPI is low
Why is it important😱❓
➠ Because the Federal Reserve watches it to decide whether to raise or cut interest rates
⭕️ The logic chain is like this:
▪️ High CPI → inflation not under control → Fed dares not cut rates → money becomes expensive, borrowing costs high → stock market, BTC and other risk assets under pressure
▪️ Low CPI → inflation cools down → rate cut expectations rise → market liquidity eases → risk assets may rise
👉🏻 So every time CPI is released, it’s not just an economic data point—it’s like casting a vote on the market’s next direction.
Currently, the market expects an annual inflation rate of 3.7%, higher than last month
Oil prices are rising, tariffs are also passing into commodity prices
So, do you think tonight will exceed expectations?
With #美国4月CPI今晚20:30揭晓, let’s talk together
👏🏻 Wash is finally going to take office on May 15 (this Friday)
From rumors last year to now, half a year has passed, and finally there is a result
(https://oyidl.net/ul/NQiOeBJ There was a related comparison done in January)
👉🏻 Besides the "change of leadership" itself, what needs more attention is: the Fed's decision-making approach might change
🗣️ Powell in recent years basically "waited for the data to come out before acting," very passive
🗣️ Wash is different; he is more willing to act ahead of the data and make his own judgments
▪️ This alone might mean it's no longer easy to predict the Fed's next move, increasing uncertainty for the market
▪️ Plus, with April's non-farm payrolls exceeding expectations for two consecutive months, rate cuts are becoming less likely — the new chairman's style means we need to watch closely if rate cuts will happen this year
⭕️ Putting these together, there are actually more variables in the industry than before
▪️ After ETFs, institutions have entered, and any Fed signals transmit much faster than before, so crypto falling along with the broader market will be more common
▪️ On the BTC side, there are people on both sides — if the market starts worrying about US fiscal issues, the "safe haven" logic will be brought up; but with interest rates suppressing, the direction is harder to grasp
▪️ Also, the recently lively altcoins — how long this wave lasts depends on what happens next
🚩 Taking office is an endpoint, but for the market, this is just the beginning — his first public statement after May 15 might be more worth watching than the inauguration itself.
